Chris Brown Shares What Keeps Him Feeling ‘Human and Normal’ Amid Fame: ‘Important for My Mental’

Chris Brown, fresh off kicking off his Breezy Bowl XX tour, is opening up about how he stays grounded while navigating life on the road.

In a recent Instagram post, the “Holy Blindfold” singer shared a “fun fact” about how he keeps himself centered. Brown revealed that he enjoys sneaking out alone during tour stops—a ritual he says helps him “feel human and normal” despite the constant spotlight that comes with fame.

“Fun fact: I like to sneak out by myself when I’m in different cities,” Chris Brown shared with fans. “It helps me feel human and normal. That’s really important for my mental due to the fact that I just can’t walk around freely during the day. Keeps me grounded. Being secluded from some parts of everyday life activities will drive you insane being isolated all the time. Cook, remain humble and grateful!”

Just before launching his new tour celebrating 20 years of music, Chris Brown found himself entangled in legal drama tied to a 2023 incident. He was accused of striking a man with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub. In a May press release, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that Brown had been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. Although he was taken into custody, he was later released. Both Justin Bieber and 50 Cent spoke out publicly in his support.

Meanwhile, this Friday marks the release of his latest single, “Holy Blindfold.” The track arrives nearly two years after his last studio album, 11:11, though it’s still unclear if the new song is a one-off or part of a bigger project.
