Not long after Lil Uzi Vert rolled out the “Chanel Boy” video, the rapper dropped the visuals for a new track, “Relevant,” on Monday (Nov. 24).
Produced by Trillion, Rima, and Trilla, the song serves as the second release of the day, continuing the Philadelphia artist’s fresh run as an independent act.
The video, produced by SeeworldTurtle, features Uzi flaunting their signature style once again, this time decked out in Balenciaga, Chrome Hearts, and Miu Miu.
Uzi also announced that they’ve signed with Roc Nation Distribution, will now “fully own their masters,” and have secured a deal with Roc Nation Publishing. This makes Uzi one of only three artists to be managed by Roc Nation and signed to Roc Nation Distribution — the others being Jay-Z and Rihanna.
“Uzi is a global icon and a dynamic force in the music industry, so we’re thrilled to work together with them in this new capacity,” Roc Nation Distribution President Krystian Santini said in a statement shared. “Our partnership is centered around empowering Uzi to continue building their legacy, with full creative control and the resources to take their artistry to new heights.”
Eternal Atake 2, Uzi’s latest studio album, dropped last year through Generation Now and Atlantic Records. A follow-up to 2020’s acclaimed Eternal Atake — partially inspired by Heaven’s Gate — the album opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
