Taylor Swift has reportedly locked in her wedding venue — but the rumors are already stirring up drama.
According to Page Six, insiders claim Swift is planning to tie the knot on June 13 at the Ocean House in Westerly, Rhode Island. The singer hasn’t confirmed anything, and her Watch Hill mansion has also been floated as a potential location.
So, what exactly is the Ocean House?
“Perched high on the bluffs of Watch Hill, Rhode Island, Ocean House is an iconic New England seaside resort, and the first and only AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five-Star hotel in the state,” the venue boasts on its website.
“Ocean House’s Ocean & Harvest Spa and COAST fine dining restaurant are also Forbes Five-Star rated, making Ocean House one of only fourteen Five-Star resorts in the world to hold this honor.”
Room rates reportedly range from $660 to a jaw-dropping $10,000 a night, per Page Six.
But here’s where the controversy comes in: Page Six claimed Swift secured the venue by buying out the date from another couple. The outlet alleged she was determined to marry on June 13 because she “was born on December 13, making June 13 her half-birthday.”
The venue, however, says none of that is true.
Stephanie Leavitt, Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Ocean House, told TMZ the venue would never allow anyone to buy out another couple’s wedding date — not even a superstar like Swift.
“When clients and their families choose Ocean House as their wedding venue, it is an agreement and commitment between our team and that family. Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date,” she said. Leavitt didn’t confirm whether Swift is actually planning to get married there on June 13.
The Ocean House website even has a dedicated page for couples planning their big day.
“Your wedding day will be a testament to your love brought to life with our stunning panoramic ocean views, the quaint seaside setting of the Rhode Island wedding venue, and the hotel’s refined Victorian-inspired property and plush interiors,” the site reads.
“A wedding at the Ocean House is more than a walk down the aisle and an exchange of vows. The Ocean House is the perfect luxury wedding destination, where you can make your wedding a weekend-long event forging long-lasting memories for you and your guests.”
