Natalie Portman is getting ready to welcome another baby.
The Oscar-winning actress revealed she’s expecting her third child — and her first with partner Tanguy Destable. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, the actress shared just how excited they both are about the news.
“I’m just very grateful,” she said. “I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
At 44, Portman reflected on how much the moment means to her, especially given her upbringing. As the daughter of a fertility doctor, she grew up understanding how challenging pregnancy can be for many, which has shaped her perspective.
“I know how lucky it is,” she added. “I’m very aware, and I’m very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude.”
The Black Swan star already shares two children — son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9 — with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied. She told Harper’s that, knowing this may be her last pregnancy, she’s soaking in every moment.
Portman also opened up about enjoying the spring season in Paris, a city she’s lived in on and off over the years. And there’s even a small bonus to being pregnant there — “In France, they consider full term to be 41 weeks rather than 40, so I guess I get an extra week to be pregnant this time around.”
Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied officially went their separate ways in 2024 after more than a decade of marriage. The former couple first crossed paths on the set of Black Swan, directed by Darren Aronofsky, where Millepied worked as a choreographer while also performing as a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet.
In 2023, French outlet Voici reported that Millepied had an extramarital affair with a climate activist. Not long after, Portman quietly filed for divorce in Paris, where they had been living.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last year, Portman shared how an unexpected moment with Rihanna at Paris Fashion Week 2024 helped lift her spirits amid the split.
“I think every woman going through a divorce should get to have Rihanna say to her that she’s a bad b—,” she joked. “It was exactly what I needed.”
Fallon played a clip of their interaction, where Rihanna embraced Portman and said, “You are one of the hottest b— in Hollywood forever.”
Portman, clearly caught off guard, responded, “Excuse me? I’m going to faint.”
Since then, Portman has been romantically linked to Tanguy Destable, with reports of their relationship surfacing in March 2025.
