Kylie Jenner is facing serious backlash after her former housekeeper, Angelica Vasquez, came forward with claims that she was “treated with hostility and exclusion.”
The reality star is now dealing with a lawsuit filed just last week, in which Vasquez accuses her of discrimination based on her national origin and religion. According to reports, she also alleges she was “subjected to severe and pervasive harassment” by other staff members.
Vasquez claims she was “routinely given the toughest and least desirable tasks, isolated from the rest of the housekeeping team, publicly belittled and humiliated in front of coworkers due to her race, national origin and religion, and constantly subjected to intimidating and degrading treatment.”
She further alleges that the experience took a toll on her mental health, leaving her with “anxiety, severe stress, and symptoms consistent with post-traumatic stress disorder,” which she says only made her a bigger target for continued bullying.
Vasquez is pursuing punitive and restitution damages, including “unpaid wages, meal and rest period premium pay, unreimbursed business expenses, unpaid sick leave, and all other compensation unlawfully withheld.”
As of now, Kylie Jenner has yet to publicly address the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the only legal issue surrounding the Kardashian-Jenner circle. Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian are also in a legal battle with Ray J, accusing him of defamation. Ray J fired back with a countersuit in November, claiming they violated a 2023 agreement by discussing his sex tape on The Kardashians.
Earlier this month, a judge rejected Kim and Kris’ attempt to keep details of that agreement under wraps, stating they didn’t provide enough evidence to show that making the settlement public would cause any harm.
