Latto may have revisited her past drama with Cardi B on her new album, Big Mama.
On the track “Gimme Dat,” the Atlanta rapper spits, “Bitch said what? Let’s clock it / Really got a Hermes store in my closet / Talkin’ ‘bout buyin’ big mama a bag like my n***a ain’t already bought it,” a line many listeners believe references Cardi’s previous promise to buy her a designer bag.
The lyric appears to allude to leaked audio that surfaced last fall, allegedly featuring a conversation between Cardi B and Ice Spice’s manager. In the recording, a voice believed to be Cardi referred to Latto as “pussy ass Latto.”
“I’mma show y’all, I’m not Latto,” the voice said in the clip. “I’mma beat her the f**k up. I’mma knock her the f**k out. All y’all. I’mma beat her ass. I’mma get Riot beat up by my n**as. Y’all gonna see what the f**k is up. Y’all think I’m f**king pussy ass Latto?”
At the time, Ice Spice and Latto were involved in a feud that stretched from 2023 to 2025.
After the audio made its way online, Cardi publicly apologized and made it clear she had no issue with Latto.
“I was ranting and hot at the moment but I fck with Latto HEAVY!!” Cardi wrote on X. “I respect everything about her including her team thats so sweet.. AND NOPE! I’m not too prideful to apologize to somebody I really respect so this my public apology and now ima privately buy her a bag.”
Elsewhere on “Gimme Dat,” Latto raps, “Wish a bitch would get in that booth/ I’m callin’ up PlaqueBoyMax.” According to TMZ, Cardi and PlaqueBoyMax have been linked in recent months, with the Bronx rapper even giving him a shoutout during this year’s Super Bowl LX flag football event.
It’s worth noting that despite the controversy, Cardi and Latto reunited musically on the remix of “Errtime” in September 2025, just days before the leaked audio surfaced.
While the exact date of the alleged call remains unknown, some fans believe it was recorded around July 2024 due to a reference involving an Empire State Building event attended by Ice Spice that month. If true, the recording would have been made while Latto and Ice Spice were still feuding, before eventually putting their differences aside and releasing “Gyatt” together.
