J. Cole Performs Among Fans During Opening Night of The Fall-Off Tour

J. Cole gave fans in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, a memorable surprise during the opening night of The Fall-Off Tour by stepping into the crowd for part of his performance.

Videos from the show captured Cole kicking off the concert with The Fall-Off‘s “39 Intro,” instantly sending the audience into an uproar.

According to Setlist.FM, Night One of the tour also featured performances of “SAFETY,” “Run A Train,” “Poor Thang,” “A Tale of 2 Citiez,” “Fire Squad,” along with several other fan favorites.

Leading up to the opening show, Cole also unveiled a limited-edition print publication titled The Fall-Off Magazine, featuring contributions from more than 60 writers, photographers, illustrators, and designers.

“Like all essential creative by and for a culture, this collector’s edition arrives when most needed by its audience,” said the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Bonsu Thompson. “Hip-Hop journalism has somehow expanded, diversified, atrophied and become amorphous all at once.”

The Fall-Off Tour marks Cole’s first solo headlining trek since the 2018 KOD Tour, which featured Young Thug and Jaden as supporting acts. He later co-headlined The Off-Season Tour with 21 Savage in 2021, a run that wrapped up at Dreamville Fest in 2022. Most recently, the rapper joined Drake on the It’s All a Blur Tour – Big as the What?, which took place from March through April 2025.
