Soulja Boy Seeks DNA Test To Confirm Paternity Of 3-Year-Old Son Allegedly Shared With Jackilyn Martinez

Soulja Boy has requested a DNA paternity test for a child he once publicly claimed as his own.

The “Crank That” rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, filed legal documents stating that he is unsure whether he is the biological father of 3-year-old KeAndre Cortez Way, according to TMZ. The filing asks for genetic testing to resolve the matter, and Soulja Boy indicated that he would contribute toward pregnancy-related expenses and legal costs if the test confirms he is the child’s father.

The request comes as part of a custody and child support dispute involving his former girlfriend, Jackilyn Martinez. In October 2025, Martinez filed for legal and physical custody of KeAndre, requesting that Soulja Boy receive visitation while she maintained primary custody. She claimed in her filing that she had handled most of the child’s expenses herself, alleging that Soulja Boy only provided financial support after she “begged him to do so.”

The situation became more heated after an alleged email from Soulja Boy to Martinez’s legal representatives surfaced. In the message, he reportedly wrote: “Stop emailing me, you dumb bitch. There will be no litigation or settlement idk who the f*** u think u talking to.” TMZ first reported on the alleged email in June.

In March 2022, Soulja Boy and Martinez announced they were expecting a son, with the rapper appearing at their gender reveal celebration and describing the baby as his first child. After KeAndre was born in September 2022, Soulja Boy shared pictures of the newborn with the caption, “Lil Soulja, daddy love u.”

Last December, Martinez was awarded a $130,000 default judgment against Blueface in a defamation case after he allegedly suggested he was KeAndre’s father. Martinez disputed the claim, stating that she had not been intimate with the reality star since 2025.

Soulja Boy has previously been involved in a separate paternity case in 2014. In that matter, a DNA test determined he was not the biological father of the child involved, with the results stating that “the probability of paternity is 0%.”
