Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell Are Married, and Their First Dance Is Taking Over Social Media

Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell are officially married, and fans can’t stop talking about one of the most memorable moments from their wedding celebration. A video capturing the newlyweds’ first dance has gone viral on social media, showing the couple sharing a romantic moment while swaying to Musiq Soulchild’s “Love” as their loved ones watched on.

According to Clutch Points, the wedding represents a major milestone for one of entertainment and sports’ most talked-about couples, whose relationship has mostly remained private away from the public eye.

The timing adds another major highlight to what has already been a memorable summer for Mitchell. Just weeks after reportedly agreeing to a $273 million contract extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers, keeping the six-time NBA All-Star with the team through 2031, he has now celebrated another major milestone in his personal life.

Meanwhile, Jones continues to build momentum in her career, balancing her rapidly growing music journey with touring, recording sessions, and acting commitments.

Neither of them has held back when speaking about the impact their relationship has had on their lives. Earlier this year, following a Cavaliers game that took place on International Women’s Day, Mitchell opened up about why Jones has become such an important part of his world.

“My fiancée… I mean, you guys have heard me rave about her, you know, nonstop,” Mitchell said. “I’m such at peace in life with her around. I think that’s first and foremost. Basketball and everything else is secondary… That’s somebody that I’m forever grateful for. My goal is to be with her for the rest of my life.”

Jones has been equally open about the love and support they share. After the couple announced their engagement in July 2025, she opened up about accepting Mitchell’s proposal during an interview.

“I think about my life so much like business, and I’m like, ‘Girl, you got to stop. This is the biggest contract I’ve ever signed,’” she joked. “This is a real-life, forever commitment.”

She also praised Mitchell for always encouraging her and standing by her side. “We both go really hard for the things we love, and they’re demanding careers,” Jones said. “I feel like we speak a different language that makes me really feel seen. And he’s my biggest cheerleader, so I feel like I’m never able to doubt myself in his presence.”

The wedding arrives after a year packed with major career achievements for Jones. She recently delivered a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” during the Super Bowl LX pregame ceremony, gave credit to Ciara for guiding her through the challenges of balancing fame and personal life, and has been open with fans about exploring new sounds and stepping into a fresh creative era.
