Quavo recently appeared on Baller Alert, where he discussed the legacy of the Migos following his public spat with Offset and the tragic passing of Takeoff. He had already teased a new Migos album on the way, but his latest comments offer a clearer idea of when fans might hear it.
“We coming back with a Migos album,” Huncho remarked. “I mean, y’all see us [him and ‘Set] working. Can’t be working just for nothing. So get ready for that. We almost ready to turn it in, too… The anniversary for Migos is January, so you might get something then.”
Quavo also revealed that the project won’t be another Culture installment while teasing a potential tour behind the album. Still, his comments don’t officially confirm a January 2027 release date. The group could instead use the anniversary as an opportunity to announce the project, release a single, or celebrate Migos’ legacy and return in another way.
The project would inevitably carry a bittersweet feeling following Takeoff’s passing, but the surviving members have continued to honor his legacy over the years. Continuing to celebrate what they built together would keep that legacy at the center of the group’s next chapter.
Meanwhile, Quavo is gearing up for his new album QRÖMELIFE. He recently unveiled the project’s cover art and release date, with the album set to arrive in just a few weeks on October 2. With Pharrell handling production throughout the project, fans are eager to hear what the Atlanta MC has in store.
The album has already produced singles including “Backwards” featuring T.I., “Trance (Walk It Down),” and “HAAVIN,” all of which have received a positive response from listeners. However, many fans still favor Migos as a group over the members’ solo efforts, making the possibility of a new project featuring Quavo and Offset’s continued creativity particularly notable.
There was also speculation that Quavo could switch labels following a proposition from Young Thug. The Migos rapper later clarified that the focus was simply on discovering and supporting a new generation of talent. With all of these projects underway, a new Migos album honoring Takeoff and celebrating the group’s legacy could become a major moment in 2027.
