Since then, fans have been eager to see the songs arrive on major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Many have also been speculating about whether a full FOMO album was in the works.
During an impromptu gambling stream for Stake last night, Drake finally addressed the anticipation, revealing that an album is indeed on the way, although with a slight caveat. Most of the tracks from his “FOMO” session are expected to drop on Thursday.
“All the songs you guys have been asking for… well, not all of them, but enough of them, are coming on Thursday,” Drake announced triumphantly.
It remains unclear whether the tracks will be packaged as an album or EP, or released individually, similar to how Drake initially shared them on YouTube. Regardless of the format, fans now know that the songs originate from his “FOMO” sessions. The collection includes collaborations with Don Toliver and “QUEBEC,” arguably the most popular track from the “FOMO” sessions.
It’s been a massive year for Drake and his fans. In May, he released ICEMAN, MAID OF HONOUR, and HABIBTI. Now, he’s following up with “FOMO” and plans for a World Tour in 2027.
Although his ongoing moves against UMG have continued to attract criticism, his music has consistently earned praise throughout the year. With so much momentum behind him, Drake’s comeback appears to have come full circle, a sentiment even some of his biggest critics might acknowledge.
