“I hired someone that told me I was targeted by tech engagement farms to build smaller pages using my name for negativity and engagement bait,” she wrote. “If you see anything negative don’t engage lol they gotta start paying me. Hell they should be paying YOU.”
SZA did not name the pages allegedly involved or present further evidence identifying who might be behind the activity. Instead, she used her post to urge fans not to engage with negative content, arguing that their reactions only benefit the pages exploiting her name.
The post reflects SZA’s increasing frustration with the way outrage is deliberately fueled online. In December 2025, she called out the White House for “rage baiting artists for free promo” after her music appeared in an immigration enforcement post, as reported by TheGrio. Although her criticism was directed at a completely different source, the underlying message remained the same: attention driven by anger is still attention.
SZA has also shown a willingness to address online commentary directly instead of leaving every discussion to fan pages or her team. This makes her name particularly valuable in an engagement-driven environment, where a response from the artist can transform an otherwise forgettable post into a much bigger story. Her latest message encourages fans to put an end to that cycle by refusing to engage altogether.
