Mia Goth has filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf, roughly a year after the couple separated.
According to TMZ, the X star filed the divorce paperwork Tuesday night (Oct. 6), citing “irreconcilable differences.” The documents list July 28, 2025, as their official date of separation, which came to light earlier this year after LaBeouf’s arrest in New Orleans.
In her petition, Goth is seeking primary legal and physical custody of the couple’s four-year-old daughter, Isabel. She is also asking the court to end its ability to award spousal support to either her or LaBeouf.
Goth, 32, and LaBeouf, 40, first met in 2012 while working on Nymphomaniac: Vol. II and began dating that December. Their relationship took a major step forward when they tied the knot at the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel in Las Vegas on October 10, 2016, with an Elvis impersonator officiating the ceremony.
The couple’s relationship has been on and off over the years, including a previous separation in 2018, two years before they were spotted wearing their wedding rings again. LaBeouf and Goth later welcomed their daughter in 2022.
Page Six reported in February that the pair had been living separately since 2025, with a source telling the outlet that LaBeouf had relocated to New Orleans to be closer to his family. The actor was also reportedly purchased a $1 million home in the area following the separation. Earlier this year, he spoke about the end of his marriage to Goth during an appearance on Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan.
“I failed my marriage, and so I had to own up to that,” he said around the 4:30 mark in the video below.
Goth’s divorce filing came the same day LaBeouf and his former girlfriend, dance-pop singer FKA twigs, reached an agreement over his alleged “illegal” use of an NDA. The actor had accused the singer of violating the NDA’s terms in a Hollywood Reporter article, where she referenced being a victim of abuse.
