Doechii is back with a new track, “BOMBS.”
The Grammy-winning rapper has returned to her long-running ‘Swamp Sessions’ series with the song, marking her first solo release of 2026. The fast-paced, spacey track runs for just a minute and a half. Her previous single was “Runway,” a collaboration with Lady Gaga featured on The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack, released in April 2026.
Fans are still eagerly anticipating Doechii’s debut album, which will follow her Grammy-winning mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal. Despite the wait for her first studio album, 2025 was a busy year for the rapper, who collaborated with SZA, Jennie, The Weeknd and Alemeda. Her re-release of “Anxiety” also earned platinum certification from the RIAA.
In June, Doechii joined SZA for a tribute to Lauryn Hill, performing the Fugees’ “Ready or Not” at the 2026 BET Awards. The performance came after the rapper named the eight-time Grammy winner as an influence on her upcoming album.
“The first album I ever purchased and ever remember listening to in full length was The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” Doechii told The Cut in February.
“The feeling that I have when I listen to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is the same feeling I want some other Black little girl to have when she listens to me,” she continued. “And in order for her to have that feeling, I have to talk about my feelings.”
