Boosie BadAzz appears confident that he could defeat Lil Wayne in a Verzuz battle.
In a video that surfaced on social media on Oct. 9, the Louisiana rapper was seen trying to convince a group of people that he could beat any rapper in a Verzuz showdown. In the clip below, Boosie explains why he believes his extensive catalog can compete with anyone.
“How long have I been out?” Boosie asked someone in the room before declaring, “Man, I’m Him!”
When another person asked whether he would compete using his Lil Boosie era or his Boosie BadAzz era, the rapper insisted that it made no difference.
“It don’t matter,” he maintained. “I got two Hall of Fames, real talk. Just like Kobe [Bryant], I’m No. 8 and No. 24,” he continued, comparing his career to the late Los Angeles Lakers legend, who won multiple championships while wearing both jersey numbers.
“I started in ’98, it’s ’26, man,” he added, pointing to his nearly three decades in the rap game.
When someone suggested Lil Wayne as a potential opponent, Boosie welcomed the challenge without hesitation.
“Bring him on,” he said. “You go get Wayne. I’m gon’ stand up like a muthaf\*\*ka champ.”
Despite his confidence, Boosie has no apparent animosity toward Wayne. However, the “Wipe Me Down” rapper firmly believes his catalog can go head-to-head with Tunechi’s in a Verzuz battle.
Boosie’s comments come after he exchanged verbal jabs on social media with former Cash Money Records artist Turk, who accused him of copying his rap persona, including his signature fade haircut. Turk later challenged Boosie to a Verzuz battle.
Boosie dismissed the challenge, calling Turk delusional and arguing that he lacked a catalog substantial enough to compete.
“You don’t have a catalog, you got a spreadsheet,” he fired back, adding, “You can’t fill up a waiting room.”
