Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley have sparked speculation about a possible engagement after sharing two social media posts that caught fans’ attention. Although neither has officially confirmed the news, a diamond ring and a strategically placed emoji have fueled the rumors.
Adding to the buzz, Page Six reported on Friday, Oct. 16, that Cyrus had proposed to Hurley, citing sources familiar with the situation.
The speculation began on Monday, Oct. 12, when Hurley posted behind-the-scenes photos from her first day of filming Season 2 of The ‘Burbs. In the pictures, she poses in a white bathrobe while sporting a diamond ring on her left ring finger. The first image partially obscures the jewelry, but the following photo provides a much clearer view of the sparkling stone.
Hurley’s son, Damian, whom she shares with the late Steve Bing, also weighed in on the post, commenting “SO EXCITED” alongside red heart emojis.
Speaking to Page Six, a source reacted to the photo, saying, “She’s filming The ‘Burbs; I hardly think this ring is a prop.”
On Thursday, Oct. 15, Cyrus added to the speculation by sharing a photo on his official Instagram account, with Mark Collie’s “Something with a Ring to It” playing in the background. His caption also featured a diamond ring emoji, a subtle detail that quickly caught the attention of his followers.
“This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time,” Cyrus wrote, referencing his recent projects and an upcoming NASCAR event in Phoenix. He ended that part of his message with a playful hint: “Kinda has a ring to it.”
Damian also reacted to Cyrus’ post, leaving a emoji in the comments.
Cyrus and Hurley first confirmed their relationship publicly in April 2025.
