Diddy Faces Tougher Prison Restrictions After Transfer

A change of scenery may not make prison life any easier for Sean “Diddy” Combs. The Bad Boy founder was transferred to a federal prison in Pennsylvania after months of reported disciplinary issues, arriving at FCI Allenwood Low on Friday (October 16). The facility’s rules, covering everything from contraband to daily routines, could bring additional challenges following allegations about his previous incarceration.

The transfer comes after reports of unauthorized cellphone use, fights, and preferential treatment at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. According to TMZ, Allenwood’s regulations permit correctional officers to search inmates’ living quarters for prohibited items, while its drug and alcohol monitoring program requires prisoners to undergo random testing.

These restrictions could be particularly relevant to Combs, who was accused of having access to Hennessy, a contraband cellphone, massages, specially prepared meals, and other privileges at Fort Dix. His representatives have disputed claims that portrayed his incarceration as unusually comfortable.

However, Allenwood’s rules aren’t special penalties targeting Combs. They are standard institutional regulations that apply to the prison population, and officials have not indicated that he will face additional supervision because of his reported conduct at Fort Dix.

Allenwood’s inmate handbook details a strict daily routine that begins with a 5 a.m. inmate count, followed by breakfast at around 6 a.m. Inmates are required to make their beds by 7:30 a.m., keep their living spaces clean, and report for their assigned work duties. Tobacco products are banned, while refusing a mandatory urine or breathalyzer test can lead to disciplinary consequences.

The facility provides several recreational activities, including weightlifting, yoga, exercise bikes, and other fitness options. Inmates are also served three meals a day, with breakfast featuring both continental and hot meal choices. However, Allenwood’s low-security classification doesn’t shield inmates from searches, disciplinary measures, or limits on personal belongings.

Combs’ transfer comes after a particularly unsettled period at Fort Dix. TMZ** reported** that he was transported by ambulance to a medical facility last weekend following a reported head injury. Rumors suggested he had been involved in a confrontation with another inmate, but prison officials denied that a fight had taken place. The Bureau of Prisons confirmed his transfer to Allenwood but declined to disclose the reason, citing privacy and security concerns.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence following his 2025 conviction on two federal counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges and is continuing to appeal his conviction.
