Beyoncé went all out for the grand finale of her Cowboy Carter Tour, surprising fans with an unforgettable Destiny’s Child reunion.
The superstar brought out her former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams during the closing show on Saturday (July 26) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
“Destiny’s Child, bitch,” Beyoncé declared as the iconic trio strutted down the catwalk and delivered a shortened performance of their 2004 smash hit “Lose My Breath.”
From there, Destiny’s Child kept the energy high with a snippet of “Energy” from Renaissance, complete with the viral “everybody on mute” challenge, before closing out their set with their 2001 classic “Bootylicious.”
As Destiny’s Child exited the stage, the show seamlessly transitioned into a powerful dance performance by Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter — a moment many fans saw as a symbolic passing of the torch.
Destiny’s Child, who first formed in 1990 and went through several lineup changes before disbanding in 2006, have reunited multiple times over the years. Among their most iconic reunions were Beyoncé’s 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show and her unforgettable 2018 Coachella performance.
And the Destiny’s Child reunion wasn’t the only surprise Beyoncé had in store for her loyal BeyHive that night.
Earlier in the evening, she also brought out Shaboozey to perform their collaboration “Sweet Honey Buckiin.’”
After Destiny’s Child’s show-stopping reunion, Jay-Z hit the stage to deliver his iconic verse from “Crazy in Love” before launching into a solo performance of “N****s in Paris.” Hov had previously surprised fans with an appearance during the Cowboy Carter tour stop in Paris, France, last month.
Now that Cowboy Carter has officially wrapped, fans are buzzing with excitement over the anticipated third and final installment of Beyoncé’s album trilogy, which began with 2022’s dance-house masterpiece Renaissance.
Will the BeyHive trade line dancing for head-banging? Rumors are swirling that the upcoming project will be a bold reclamation of rock music. Speculation only intensified after Beyoncé dressed up as late funk-rock legend Betty Davis for Halloween last year, and fans have already begun dreaming up wish lists of artists they hope to see featured on the album.
