Hayley Williams Surprises Fans by Releasing 17 Brand-New Tracks Out of Nowhere

Singer-songwriter Hayley Williams quietly dropped 17 brand-new solo tracks on her official website on Monday, July 28.

There was zero announcement surrounding the Paramore frontwoman’s latest release—just a secret music drop that fans happened to discover online through an access code.

According to fans, the content was unlocked by entering a code from Williams’ Good Dye Young hair dye company, which had been sent out to her mailing list. Once entered, the full collection of tracks instantly appeared in the player, ready to stream.

“I thought new music was coming soon but not THIS soon wtf,” one fan wrote on the Paramore subreddit. Another added, “I swear if she announces a tour soon ima be so pumped,” while a third chimed in, “Who else is freaking out?! Need these songs on Spotify ASAP!”

Fans also noticed some subtle changes from the “Airplanes” singer online. Hayley updated her Facebook cover photo—marking her first activity on the platform since her last solo album dropped four years ago—and tweaked her Instagram bio to now read, “the pleasure and the agony’s all mine.”

On July 23, Hayley Williams, 36, premiered a new single called “Mirtazapine” on Nashville’s public radio station WNXP, personally delivering a CD with a handwritten note to the station. That surprise drop, combined with the 17 unreleased tracks quietly posted on her website, has fans speculating that a new solo project could be in the works. However, nothing has been officially confirmed just yet.

Meanwhile, Paramore recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of All We Know Is Falling by releasing a deluxe digital edition of the album. Williams’ last solo release remains Flowers for Vases / Descansos, which dropped in 2021.
