Hasan Piker has broken his silence on the allegations leveled against his friend and fellow streamer, LolOverruled.
During a Twitch livestream on Monday, Hasan pushed back against people referring to the sex pest allegations as “drama,” making it clear that the behavior in question was far more serious.
“If it’s related to Alex Lolo, then that’s not drama. That’s, like, straight-forward creep shit. Okay?” Hasan said. “If that’s what you guys are referencing as drama, you’re a psycho. That’s not drama at all. This dude, apparently, was all up-and-down, being a fucking pest, and it’s completely unacceptable.”
Hasan expressed his disappointment, explaining that he was unaware of LolOverruled’s behavior and felt betrayed.
“It’s incredibly disappointing. It’s not something that I was obviously privy to,” he continued. “I was completely oblivious to whatever the fuck was going on, and it was a betrayal of my trust.”
Although Hasan admitted he doesn’t yet know the full extent of the situation, he said what he does know is enough to cut ties with LolOverruled.
“It seems like he was just sending unsolicited DMs, and being creepy and pushy, and a pest overall,” he said. “It’s obviously completely unacceptable.”
LolOverruled released a lengthy statement apologizing for his behavior toward women online. He admitted to sending numerous DMs but denied ever threatening anyone. While he said some of the allegations could be considered libel and defamation, he made it clear he has no plans to pursue legal action.
“It’s also entirely possible there were miscommunications and conversations misread,” he wrote. “But I take full responsibility for making people uncomfortable.”
As Hasan Piker previously mentioned, LolOverruled confirmed in his statement that he will be entering an “intensive outpatient program” for the foreseeable future.
LolOverruled later explained why he deleted the post.
