Nicki Minaj and Dez Bryant have patched things up following their heated exchange over whether Bryant would step into the ring with her husband, Kenneth Petty.
On Saturday (Aug. 9), Bryant took to X to publicly apologize to Minaj for their recent clash.
“On some G shit. @NICKIMINAJ, I really don’t like the misunderstanding we had between each other,” he wrote. “I apologize for bringing up your husband’s past. It’s a shame only negative things make headlines between two black people who have much influence on our community.”
“I’m at war every day with myself to better myself for my kids and the kids who are watching me, and the last thing I wanna do is argue over stupid shit. I pray for only peace and positivity your way,” Bryant continued.
Nicki accepted the apology but left the fight offer open.
“The Lord will grant you peace, Dez,” she replied. “Nothing makes me respect someone more than a public display of accountability. I accept your apology. I apologize as well — if I offended you. If you still wanna do that fight, lmk. He def got them hands.”
Their truce comes just days after things nearly escalated to Dez Bryant squaring up with Kenneth Petty.
The drama kicked off when Nicki chimed in on Bryant’s rant about Jerry Jones on X. Since the conversation touched on Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, Nicki—who has claimed Roc Nation and Jay-Z owe her money from the 2021 Tidal sale—decided to jump in.
“Hey, its Nicki Minaj,” she replied to Bryant’s tweet. “How about we play a game? Every time you do a ‘Jerry Jones’ or ‘NFL’ story time, I’ll do a ‘story time’ of my own.”
The exchange got heated, with Nicki eventually offering Bryant $10 million in cash to fight her husband, alleging, “I’ll give you 10 million in cash if you’d come & fight him since you BEAT UR OWN MOM.”
Bryant fired back, “I’ve been lied on my whole career so I’m not trying to hear all of that shit.. I thought we was speaking facts.. I don’t play all of that funny shit… go get that 10 million in cash. I’ll stomp that n***a out right in front of you… and it’s ROC for life bitch.”
