ASAP Rocky Calls Out Men With “Fake Muscles” in New Song

A$AP Rocky’s new track “Trunks,” off the Highest 2 Lowest soundtrack, has the internet buzzing as fans break down bars they think are aimed at Drake.

The soundtrack dropped on Friday, and Rocky’s verse quickly caught attention for its sharp jabs. While he doesn’t call out anyone by name, he makes references to BBLs and fake muscles.

“BBL, think they built / They strainin’ when they trainin’ in the gym / They think they Wilt Chamberlain / Can’t name a bitch who pussy I ain’t killed / You lame as shit, we ain’t forget / The muscles, they ain’t real,” Rocky raps.

Fans instantly speculated that the “muscles” line was directed at Drake, who has long faced internet rumors about his physique being surgically enhanced. Another line that fueled the theory was: “Cookie cutter n***as, soda pop, yeah, they Canada Dry,” which many believe is a not-so-subtle shot at the 6 God.

The “Canada Dry” line stands out, especially since Common famously used the same jab in his 2012 diss aimed at Drake. The possible subliminal adds fuel to the ongoing narrative of tension between A$AP Rocky and the OVO star.

Their history is layered, stretching back to the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar feud, where some fans believe Rocky leaned closer to K Dot’s side. On top of that, there’s the Rihanna factor—her complicated past with Drake and her current life with Rocky, as his partner and the mother of his two (soon-to-be three) kids, keeps the speculation alive.

Although Rocky has publicly downplayed the idea of beef, saying he’s got “bigger fish to fry” and isn’t wrapped up in the “real beef,” fans still point to bars like the ones in “Hijack,” released earlier this year, as possible digs at Drake.
