Fat Joe showed love to New York kids right in time for the school year.
On Sunday (Aug. 31), the Grammy-nominated rapper hosted a Labor Day giveaway at Harlem’s new Paint 4 Peace – Children’s Village community center, handing out 500 backpacks stocked with school supplies.
He was joined at the 2037 3rd Avenue event by Rich Jospitre, co-founder of Dynasty Commodities, the sponsor behind the drive. Families from Harlem turned out in full, with children ages six to 16 receiving the essentials they need to head back to class.

This wasn’t Fat Joe’s first kid-focused initiative of the year. On Father’s Day, he teamed up with his Joe and Jada co-host Jadakiss and Reform Alliance to host an empowerment luncheon at Sei Less.
