2 Chainz just revealed that he’s dropping a “spiritual memoir” next year.
The rapper’s debut book, The Voice in Your Head Is God, is set to hit shelves on March 3, 2026. He announced the project on Instagram with a video, opening up about what inspired him to write it. “I want to welcome everyone to my newest journey as an author,” he shared. “The name of my first book is The Voice in Your Head Is God. It is my most personal and introspective work to date.”
He went on to explain, “I talk about how the voice in my head I hear every day, all day, led me to the point where I’m right now and that’s in front of you guys. It is motivational, it’s powerful, and it’s raw. I know you’re going to love it.”
In the caption for his announcement video, 2 Chainz opened up even more about the spiritual heart of his upcoming memoir.
“That voice in your head isn’t madness, it’s guidance. It’s GOD!! Every time you hear that quiet whisper, know it’s a higher power speaking through you. 2 years ago, I listened to that voice and began writing. Today, I’m finally ready to share my very first book with you,” he wrote.
A press release shared with Complex sheds light on what readers can expect. The book dives into “the spiritual journey behind his success, offering a raw, reflective, and deeply motivational meditation on the inner voice that’s guided him his whole life: God.”
2 Chainz himself described the project as “my best close and most personal work.” He added, “I want to share the spiritual journey behind my success in a raw, uncut, and motivational way. My mission is to help anyone with a dream and a vision [who] struggles, or doubts their intuition… I wouldn’t be here now without that voice.”
The Voice in Your Head Is God will be released through Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Privilege Publishing. Charlamagne praised the memoir, saying, “2 Chainz’s story is a story of perseverance. A story of reinvention. This book will remind you that when GOD tells you to do something, it must be done, even if you have to reinvent yourself a few times to do it.”
