Fabolous found out the hard way that when someone tells you to only eat one corner of an edible, there’s probably a good reason for it.
During a recent episode of Let’s Rap About It, Fab shared a story about getting incredibly high from a weed cake in Amsterdam while getting a tattoo. He became so out of it that he didn’t even realize the tattoo artist had already finished.
According to Fab, the experience happened while he was on tour, with a tattoo artist working on several members of his tour crew.
“I got a tattoo one time in Amsterdam. This guy was just tatting everybody that was on tour,” Fabolous said.
That’s when Amsterdam’s infamous weed cakes came into play.
“Amsterdam used to have the weed cakes,” he continued. “So they were saying, ‘Yo, you’re supposed to eat a corner of the weed cake.’ But I ate like three corners.”
As the tattoo artist got to work, Fab put on his headphones and listened to music on his iPod. Eventually, the three pieces of the edible kicked in, sending him into a trance over one particular Biggie Smalls track.
“I’m so high that I think I listened to Biggie ‘Long Kiss Goodnight’ like 175 times,” he recalled. “It had me in a trance. That’s how high I was.”
Fab was so consumed by the song that he completely lost track of everything happening around him, including the fact that the tattoo artist had already finished.
“I didn’t even know when he finished the tattoo,” he said. “I’m still just standing there holding my arm out. I was so high off this edible.”
The hilarious story is the latest memorable moment from Let’s Rap About It, which features Fabolous alongside Jim Jones, Maino, and Dave East.
During Episode 38, titled “Hoes Can Change,” Fab shared his thoughts on whether people can move beyond their past when entering a relationship.
“You can change,” he said. “You know, people go to jail, come home, change their life. Hoes be hoes, find a relationship, change their life.”
Fab argued that being honest about someone’s past ultimately matters more in a relationship than acting like it never happened. He also pointed out the different standards often applied to men and women when it comes to having multiple sexual partners.
“I think it is a double standard though,” he said. “If you said a man sleeps around, it could be because he having motion. He having his way. He doing it. But if you say a woman sleeps around, it’s a different standard to me.”
He added, “A man being a whore versus a woman being a whore is two different things.”
