Offset Calls Cardi B’s Upcoming Album “Hard,” Promises “She’s Gonna Do Her Big One”

Offset is standing behind ex Cardi B as she preps for the release of her next album.

On Tuesday (Sept. 9), the 33-year-old rapper was spotted outside LAX, where he briefly spoke with a TMZ photographer about his own project, Kiari, and Cardi’s highly anticipated sophomore album, Am I the Drama?

“Are your kids gonna have both their parents nominated for Album of the Year?” the photographer asked.

“For sure,” Offset replied.

When pressed about whether they might compete with each other, he quickly shut it down: “No, no, no. I just want all peace, man, for us to win, everybody gotta win. We got kids to take care of, we got to catch the dubs.”

Asked if he’s backing Cardi’s new album, Offset didn’t hesitate: “For sure. That shit hard, she’s gonna do her big one, too.”

Speaking on Kiari—which dropped last month and debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200—the Migos alum called it his “best solo work” to date, explaining it’s his most personal project yet. “It was an album that meant a lot to me—after my name, you know what I mean? Just me being personal, me being vulnerable, about life, and people like it … and that’s a blessing, man,” he told TMZ.

Offset’s show of support comes as Cardi B grabbed headlines in her Billboard interview, where she opened up about her relationship with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

“It was very tough, but it is what it is. It’s tough hiding. It’s tough dating in your 30s, too, but I like him. I love him, today,” Cardi said. “I was always scared of dating people [because] I’ve always been in a long relationship since I was like 21.”

When asked about the possibility of maintaining a friendship with Offset, whom she married in 2017 and filed for divorce from last July, Cardi cut it short: “I tried. Next question.”

The pair share three kids together: Kulture, born in 2018, Wave, born in September 2021, and their youngest, Blossom, welcomed last September.

Cardi B’s Am I the Drama? arrives September 19.
