Cardi B seems to have reignited her feud with City Girls’ JT on her new album Am I the Drama? — and she didn’t hold back from throwing shade at JT’s partner, Lil Uzi Vert, either.
On the track “Magnet,” Cardi unloads a series of subliminal shots at a former friend who turned on her when she was at her lowest. While she doesn’t name names, the history lines up with her rocky past with JT, with whom she previously collaborated.
“Now let’s talk about this hating-ass bitch (Who?), ungrateful-ass bitch (Huh?) / I don’t care, met somebody, gotta say it-ass bitch (Cardi),” she raps. “Fake friend-ass bitch (Huh), a clown-ass bitch (Shh) / On the ‘net, kick your friend while she down-ass bitch (Ah) / Your loyalty depends who you around-ass bitch / Backdoor ho, hatin’ on the low-ass bitch / You a shady-ass bitch, you’ve been trash since birth.”
In the second verse, the jabs get sharper, echoing JT’s 2023 track “Intro (Hope),” where she accused Cardi of “stuffing bottles” in her backside — a claim Cardi denied after a viral video sparked speculation. Cardi not only revisits that accusation but also seems to drag Lil Uzi Vert into the mix, hinting at speculation surrounding his sexuality and his relationship with JT.
“Mama didn’t want you, Brenda’s baby-ass bitch (Brenda) / Tail waggin’-ass bitch, bottom feeder-ass bitch (Haha),” she spits. “All that dick ridin’, still ain’t get no feature-ass bitch (Haha) / She just mad she got a n***a she be sharin’ bags with (Shh) / My n***a cheat, but I don’t stick no dildos in his ass, bitch (Haha) / You look a hot mess (Hahaha), easily impressed-ass bitch / You never gave looks, you started getting dressed-ass bitch (Ah) / Ricky O the only fashion house you know-ass bitch / You should’ve asked me, would’ve took you to the show, lil’ bitch (Haha, bitch).”
The “Ricky O” bar seems to nod at JT’s recent link-up with designer Rick Owens earlier this year. While neither JT nor Lil Uzi Vert has addressed Cardi’s shots, the track could easily reignite their feud. The tension between Cardi and JT first boiled over in 2022, when Cardi labeled her a “lapdog” during a social media spat. JT later fired back on her debut solo album in 2023, taking her own shots at Cardi.
