Adin Ross Attempts to Block Megan Thee Stallion’s Mariachi Band Subpoena — but Fails

Adin Ross really did get served by a mariachi band on behalf of Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team — and now the streamer’s attempt to wriggle out of it has fallen flat.

On Sept. 16, the same day he was scheduled for a deposition in Megan’s ongoing defamation case against blogger Milagro Gramz, Ross filed a motion to quash the subpoena. In his filing, he described the viral August 28 stunt: Megan’s reps sent a mariachi band to perform outside his Florida home as a distraction, giving a process server the chance to hand over the subpoena.

The subpoena required Ross to both sit for questioning and turn over documents. His pushback had two main arguments: first, that it was invalid because his security guard — not him — accepted the papers, and second, that it was overly broad and essentially a “fishing expedition.”

“The Complaint in this action makes no mention of Mr. Ross whatsoever,” the filing read. “A review of the pleadings reveals that the dispute between Ms. Pete [Megan] and [Gramz] does not involve any facts, circumstances, or legal theories that would implicate Mr. Ross or suggest he possesses relevant information.”

For now, though, the motion hasn’t stuck — leaving Ross still very much on the hook in Megan’s case.

Ross’ attempt to sidestep Megan Thee Stallion’s subpoena didn’t get far. Judge Lisette Reid struck down his motion on procedural grounds, explaining that he jumped the gun.

Before Ross can ask the court to toss the subpoena, he first has to “confer, or attempt to confer” with Megan’s legal team directly. If that doesn’t resolve things, only then can he petition the judge for a hearing.

In other words — for now, the mariachi band–delivered subpoena still stands.
