Timothée Chalamet, a two-time Oscar nominee and SAG Award winner, has earned a new — and rather unexpected — title: White Boy of the Year.
The honor came during the First Annual Believe That Awards, hosted by Anthony Edwards and Nick Maddox, which they described as “an awards show where no one is safe.”
Chalamet took home the win over fellow nominees Adam Sandler, Tom Cruise, MrBeast, and Pat McAfee.
The Marty Supreme star, who’s currently filming the third Dune installment in Budapest, appeared via video to accept his White Boy of the Year award. His virtual acceptance sparked a lively conversation that touched on everything from their mutual love for Training Day to his viral SAG Awards speech about striving for greatness.
Afterward, Chalamet celebrated the win with a series of playful Instagram Stories, including one teasing Anthony Edwards for accidentally calling Liam Neeson “Leon Nelson” during their earlier exchange.

“You can get lost in the Sauce, but without Sauce, you are lost,” Chalamet wrote in another Instagram Story, quoting Gucci Mane. “That being said, I promise to cherish this award and do good by inspiring generations of white boys to come — to be completely delusional about their identity and place in the world.”

During his segment on the show, Timothée Chalamet reaffirmed his ambition to become “one of the greatest of all time,” noting that his work in Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme is “maybe the project I’m most proud of.”
Chalamet stars in Marty Supreme alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler Okonma (better known as Tyler, The Creator), Odessa A’zion, and others. If you missed the teaser trailer’s debut back in August, you can check it out below. The A24 film is set to hit U.S. theaters on Christmas Day.
