Travis Scott Gives a Shoutout to ‘My Brother’ Kanye West During Recent Show: ‘We Might Need to Cook Up Something Special’

At a recent performance, Travis Scott gave a special shoutout to his “brother” Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, teasing that a collaboration could be on the horizon.

“Shoutout to my brother Ye, man, ain’t gon’ lie, we might have to do something special…” Scott said onstage in a clip that made its way online on Tuesday.

Just last week, the rapper set a new record for the largest single-show attendance at Allianz Stadium in Sydney, Australia.

Though it’s unclear what exactly Travis was hinting at, La Flame has never hidden his admiration for Ye. Back in April, during his Complex cover interview, he spoke warmly about their bond.

“Shit, man. That’s my kid’s uncle,” he said. “That guy took me in when I was young, around 19. He taught me so much about music—not just ‘taught’ me, but gave me the chance to experience how music is created.”

Earlier this week, Scott hyped up Tame Impala’s new album Deadbeat on Instagram, calling it “the best album to come out in the last 2 years.” Posting a screenshot of the album’s Apple Music page, he wrote, “Kev you went crazy. Like super crazy. Like bruh, Imma gonna call u soon because I just need to know something bruhhhhhh.”

Scott also made history recently in India with his sold-out CIRCUS MAXIMUS shows at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, pulling in over 125,000 fans across two nights. According to a press release, the record-breaking concerts—organized by Live Nation and BookMyShow—became the largest rap shows ever held in India and the biggest single-artist events in Delhi’s history.

Meanwhile, Kanye reportedly sold his $14 million Bighorn Mountain Ranch in Greybull, Wyoming, back to its original owners, Greg and Pam Flitner, after six years. Cowboy State Daily reports that the 6,713-acre property transfer was completed on September 17 in Zurich, with West’s wife, Bianca Censori, notarizing the sale.
