In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Jennifer Lawrence revealed that she’s planning to undergo a boob job as early as next month.
The actress admitted she vapes frequently but will need to quit nicotine to recover properly after her upcoming breast procedure in November. When asked what inspired her decision, Lawrence explained it came down to changes after her second pregnancy. “Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one,” she said. “Second one, nothing bounced back.”
The 35-year-old star welcomed her second child with husband Cooke Maroney earlier this year. The couple also share their first child, three-year-old Cy, born in February 2022.
Lawrence shared that she decided to schedule the surgery ahead of filming a nude scene for an undisclosed project next year. When asked if she would still consider getting a boob job if she weren’t famous, she responded, “Maybe I wouldn’t be hustling to the appointment in the same way. But I think yes.”
Addressing ongoing speculation about plastic surgery, Lawrence clarified that while she doesn’t get filler, she does use Botox — and denied having a deep-plane facelift. “Believe me, I’m gonna!” she joked.
Earlier this year, during a Cannes press conference for her upcoming film Die My Love — directed by Lynne Ramsay — Lawrence opened up about her battle with postpartum depression following the birth of her second child.
“As a mother, it was really hard to separate what I would do as opposed to what she would do. And it was just heartbreaking,” she said of her character in the film, which centers on a young mother struggling with postpartum depression. “I had just had my firstborn, and there’s not really anything like postpartum. It’s extremely isolating. … But the truth is, extreme anxiety and extreme depression is isolating, no matter where you are. You feel like an alien.”
Die My Love, which also stars Robert Pattinson, LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek, is set to hit U.S. theaters on Nov. 7.
