Offset’s money woes just got messier — right in the middle of his split from Cardi B.
The Atlanta rapper is facing over $2.3 million in tax liens. The IRS reportedly filed a federal lien on October 15 for $486,426.35 in unpaid 2023 taxes, along with another lien for $1,575,266.73 covering the previous year.
That’s not all — the Georgia Department of Revenue also filed a claim earlier this year, alleging Offset didn’t pay his 2021 state income taxes. Per a March filing in Gwinnett County, the rapper owed $266,702.21 after partial payments and accumulating interest, down slightly from the original $294,712.02.
All together, that brings his total tax debt to just over $2.3 million.
The growing financial pressure comes at a tense time for Offset, who’s currently navigating his divorce from Cardi B. The two married in 2017 and share three children, but have reportedly been living separately since Cardi filed for divorce earlier this year.
In February, Offset requested joint custody and spousal support, and things have since gotten heated online. During a September X Spaces chat, Cardi claimed Offset was trying to bleed her dry financially amid the divorce.
“The only way I can get out of my marriage if I pay for somebody else’s taxes, even though I pay for my own, and give them one of my properties. I’m not, I’m fighting for that,” she said.
Earlier this month, rumors circulated that Cardi had agreed to a multi-million-dollar settlement favoring Offset with a 70/30 asset split, though neither has confirmed the claim.
Amid all the chaos, Offset is still pushing forward with his music. On Halloween, he dropped a surprise solo project titled Haunted By Fame—an 11-track, dark, horror-themed album featuring NBA YoungBoy, Lil Dump, and NoCap.
