Nicki Minaj believes she knows why she’s been the target of repeated swatting incidents in recent years.
The Pink Friday rapper pointed to “political corruption” as the reason, responding to a fan who criticized her for agreeing with Donald Trump’s recent remarks about putting Nigeria on a watch list over alleged anti-Christian violence.
In a since-deleted tweet, Minaj revealed, “My home was swatted multiple times with my innocent toddler inside (with maybe 20 officers with guns drawn pointed at our home due to political corruption).”

Nicki Minaj’s latest swatting incident happened this past April, when someone called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department claiming there had been an assault at her Hidden Hills home. Minaj wasn’t there at the time.
She has, however, been present during earlier cases. In June 2023, an anonymous caller reported to child services that Minaj’s 2-year-old son was being abused. Police arrived at her home, spoke with her and Kenneth Petty, and quickly confirmed the claim was a hoax.
Just a month later, she was targeted again after law enforcement received a 911 call falsely claiming Nicki had been shot — and she was home during that incident too.
Regarding her support for Trump’s recent comments, Minaj took to X over the weekend to express a “deep sense of gratitude” after reading his post about Nigeria.
“We live in a country where we can freely worship God. No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion,” the Queens rapper wrote. “We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.”
