After spending nearly two years in prison, Blueface has announced that he’s officially free.
In a series of Instagram posts, the rapper casually confirmed his release, saying, “Still that n***a, two years later, on the dead homies.” He also told fans to follow him quickly, hinting that he plans to make his account private soon.
According to records from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Blueface became eligible for parole this month. The 28-year-old rapper had turned himself in back in January 2024 after violating his probation, which stemmed from a 2022 shooting in Las Vegas. He was later sentenced to four years in prison in August of last year for battery and probation violation charges.
Ahead of his official release, Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, fueled rumors when she shared a video of someone under bedsheets, leading fans to speculate that he was already out. His father also hinted at the news in a cryptic Instagram post, writing, “Today is the end of a chapter in my family’s life. Tomorrow is the beginning of a new chapter in my family’s life. Can’t wait.”
Last month, Saffold spoke with TMZ Hip Hop and revealed that her son was just days away from coming home. “Well today I got a call and I can’t tell you exactly cause he’s like, ‘Don’t be telling my exact date,’” she said. “I have the coming home party. Make sure you guys get your tickets for the celebrity Blueface coming home party. I’m going to be picking him up with his kids. His girlfriend got us a limo so you know I’m excited.”
