Billie Eilish has some thoughts on how Elon Musk should be using his wealth as the world’s richest man.
On Thursday (Nov. 13), the Hit Me Hard and Soft singer hopped on Instagram and reshared a series of graphics from the group My Voice, My Choice, offering a few ideas for Musk.
Among the suggestions were “end world hunger,” “save endangered species,” and “rebuild Gaza.”

Musk’s reported net worth of $466.6 billion could easily fund the causes Billie highlighted. According to My Voice, My Choice, it would cost him $40 billion a year to eliminate world hunger by 2030, around $1–2 billion annually to move the world’s 10,443 critically endangered species into the endangered category, and $53.2 billion to help partially rebuild Gaza and the West Bank.
The group’s graphic claimed Musk had become the world’s first trillionaire, which isn’t exactly accurate — though he’s inching close.
Per the Associated Press, Musk is now positioned to potentially become the first trillionaire after Tesla shareholders approved a vote on Thursday that would award him “stock worth $1 trillion if he hits certain performance targets over the next decade.”
This also isn’t Eilish’s first time calling out billionaires. In late October, during WSJ Magazine’s Innovator Awards, she urged the wealthy attendees to step up and support people in need.
“People need empathy and help in our country,” Eilish said while accepting the Music Innovator Award. “I’d say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things and give it to some people that need it. Love you all, but there’s a few people in here that have a lot more money than me. If you are a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?”
She continued, “No hate, but give your money away, shorties.”
That same night, Stephen Colbert announced that Eilish pledged $11.5 million from her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour toward food equity, climate justice, carbon reduction, and fighting climate change.
“Billie, on behalf of humans, thank you very much,” Colbert said.
