CJ Wallace, Son of Biggie and Faith Evans, Sues Producer Over Diddy ‘Freak Off’ Claims

CJ Wallace, the son of the late rap icon The Notorious B.I.G. and R&B legend Faith Evans, has filed a lawsuit against a producer who claimed he took part in Diddy-organized “freak offs.”

According to a legal complaint, the 29-year-old Wallace is suing publicist and music producer Jonathan Hay for defamation, accusing him of launching a “calculated smear campaign” through interviews spanning 2024 to 2025. In those online interviews, Hay alleged that Wallace had sexual involvement with Bad Boy founder Diddy — who his father was signed to — as well as with producer Willie Mack. Hay also accused Wallace of “attending Combs’s alleged ‘freak-off’ parties, and conspiring to lure Hay to a location where Combs purportedly assaulted him.”

Wallace has forcefully denied the accusations, writing in the lawsuit that they’re “false, made with actual malice and with intent to damage” his personal life, reputation, and career.

“Hay acted with actual malice, knowing the statements were false or with reckless disregard for their truth or falsity,” the complaint, filed on Thursday (Nov. 12), states.

Wallace says Hay’s allegations are rooted in a failed posthumous Biggie remix project — even though their 2020 collaboration “Ready to Dance” did get released as a single.

“Wallace and the Notorious B.I.G. Estate declined to proceed with releasing the remainder of the songs that had been produced by Hay due to low audience interest in the single, Hay’s erratic behavior, and creative differences,” the lawsuit states.

The filing adds that Hay initially enjoyed working with Wallace, and while he would occasionally threaten to release the remaining tracks without permission, the explosive accusations involving Wallace, Mack, and Diddy didn’t appear until 2024.

During Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial — the one that ultimately resulted in a four-year sentence — he was accused of orchestrating days-long, drug-fueled sex events known as freak offs (or “hotel nights”). Exes Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and a Jane Doe testified that they were forced to perform with male escorts while Diddy watched.

Wallace is seeking punitive damages for what he calls Hay’s “malicious and reckless conduct,” along with any other relief the court finds appropriate.
