Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were reportedly discovered dead inside their Los Angeles home, according to TMZ.
Sources told the outlet that both were found with stab wounds, and the case is now being handled by the city’s Robbery Homicide Division.
People magazine reports that their son, Nick Reiner, is believed to be responsible for their deaths.
Reiner rose to fame playing Michael Stivic on the legendary sitcom All in The Family, later reinventing himself as one of the most influential directors of the last four decades. His directing credits include iconic films like This Is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, Misery, A Few Good Men, and When Harry Met Sally.
In recent years, he appeared in shows such as New Girl and The Bear, as well as the film The Wolf of Wall Street.
Rob, 78, and Michele, 68, shared three children.
