50 Cent is looking to team up once again with longtime collaborator Eminem, this time for a big-screen project.
The rapper and entertainment mogul shared that he wants Eminem to create new music for the upcoming Street Fighter movie soundtrack, where 50 Cent will be taking on the role of iconic boxer Balrog.
Over the weekend, he hopped on Instagram to put the idea out there. “I’m gonna get @eminem on deck to make some music for this movie Street Fighter,” he wrote. “New music on the way!”
There’s still no official word on whether Eminem is actually on board, but the idea seems believable considering their long history of working together and their shared beginnings under Dr. Dre’s Aftermath umbrella.
The tease also drops during a hectic period for 50 Cent, who’s been in the spotlight thanks to his involvement in Netflix’s controversial docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
Despite his rocky history with Diddy, 50 insists he had no personal motive behind the project.
“There’s no place for me, I didn’t make the docuseries,” he told GQ. “I got the best possible people to make one. That’s why you don’t feel anybody’s energy when watching.”
