With so many luxury timepieces spread across the table that they couldn’t even count them all, Khaled explained how he managed to secure the ultra-rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked “Cactus Jack.” Khaled calls the piece “They Said I Couldn’t Get It, So I Got It.”
The nickname appears to come from Khaled reaching out to Travis and Michael Rubin to try to get on the list for the limited-edition “Cactus Jack” Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, of which only 200 exist. According to Khaled, he ultimately landed the watch—valued around $500,000—through motivation and inspiration.
After pausing to give a little guidance on how to shoot the B-roll, Khaled got into full showcase mode, highlighting a matching his-and-hers set he dubbed “Thank God It’s Called His and Hers.” He followed that with two APs he named “Rare” and “It’s Personal.” The latter is an AP Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar “Ceramic Blue,” estimated at about $460,000.
“I’m not gonna say his name, but he knows. He promised me this, so when I got it, I call it ‘It’s Personal,’” Khaled said of the “Ceramic Blue” piece.
Khaled then revealed he picked up the Rolex Daytona 116578SACO in Yellow Gold after spotting it on 21 Savage’s wrist courtside at a Miami Heat game. Khaled named his own version “21 Savage” in honor of the inspiration.
“You don’t realize you’re collecting something until you fall in love with something,” Khaled shared. “You just realize over time that you want more and more, and then you start craving the rare ones. Once I fall in love with something, I go into collector mode—and that’s exactly what happened with the watches.”
