Nicki Minaj Deportation Petition Blows Up Online, Approaching 70,000 Supporters

Nicki Minaj has managed to upset quite a few people in recent months, to the point where a petition calling for her deportation to Trinidad has been launched.

The Change.org petition has taken off online since it was created, with growing numbers of people urging that the rapper be sent to Trinidad, citing her claim on social media in 2024 that she is not a United States citizen. As of press time, the petition is nearing 70,000 signatures.

In the petition’s description, its creator, “Pedonika Minaj,” claims the rapper is “currently spiraling out of control and seems to be experiencing psychosis.” The write-up also lists alleged harassment of the Carters — Beyoncé and Jay-Z — and Minaj’s marriage to registered sex offender Kenneth Petty as reasons she should be deported.

“Despite the gravity of his past actions, Minaj continues to fiercely defend [Petty], reportedly going as far as intimidating and threatening his victims,” the petition’s founder wrote. “Such actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for the law and for the safety of others.”

The petition surfaced just days after Minaj made a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA, where she openly expressed her support for President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.

“This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them. Our vice president, he makes me … well, I love both of them,” Minaj said. “Both of them have a very uncanny ability to be someone that you relate to.”

Her appearance at the event sparked major backlash, with several celebrities, including Joe Budden, publicly distancing themselves from her in the days that followed.

The petition’s claim that Minaj harassed the Carters traces back to her accusations that Jay-Z attempted to blackball her and still owes her $20 million tied to her TIDAL equity stake.

Regarding her marriage to Kenneth Petty, the couple has been together for six years. In 2024, while celebrating five years of marriage, Minaj marked the milestone with an Instagram post.

“24 years after we first met. Love at first sight. I’m so proud of you. Thank you for catching me…every single time. Thank you for our little BFF (referring to their son).”
