Diddy’s Prison Release Date Reportedly Moved Up by Five Weeks

Diddy’s expected release date from prison has reportedly been adjusted.

Per the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, the incarcerated music mogul is now projected to be released on April 25, 2028.

This marks the third adjustment to Diddy’s projected release date. In November 2025, he was slated for release on June 4, 2028, and before that, the date had been listed as May 8, 2028.

The 56-year-old, who received a 50-month federal sentence, is currently housed at Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey.

Diddy has been incarcerated since his arrest in September 2024. His trial began in May and concluded in July, when he was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He had also faced racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges but was not convicted on those more serious allegations.

He is now appealing his sentence. In November, a judge granted his legal team’s request to fast-track the appeals process. Oral arguments could begin as early as April 2026. His attorneys argued that expediting the appeal was critical given the length of his sentence and the possibility that he could serve most — or all — of it before a decision is reached.

In related developments, recent reports suggest Diddy could potentially be called as a key witness in 2Pac’s murder trial. Duane “Keefe D” Davis previously claimed in 2008 that Diddy offered him and his associates $1 million to carry out the hit during the height of tensions between Bad Boy Records and Death Row Records.

With Davis facing a possible life sentence, his legal team reportedly believes Diddy’s testimony could help clear him. They expect the Grammy-winning artist to deny any such payment, as he has consistently done in the past.
