Kanye West’s Poland Show Axed Just Days After Being Announced

Kanye West had plans to perform in Poland this June, but the show has already been shut down—and the stadium director didn’t hold back.

Ye is well aware that his recent controversies have made it difficult for him to book shows internationally. After hearing talks of a possible cancellation in France, he chose to postpone that performance himself and issued an apology.

“I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends. I take full responsibility for what’s mine, but I don’t want to put my fans in the middle of it. My fans are everything to me. Looking forward to the next shows. See you at the top of the globe.”

Still, despite his attempts to take accountability for his past remarks, including antisemitic comments, it looks like many places aren’t ready to welcome him back just yet. Poland has now joined that list, pulling the plug on his upcoming show.

According to Reuters, Slaski Stadium director Adam Strzyzewski shared the update on Facebook. “We would like to inform you that the Ye (Kanye West) concert planned for 19 June 2026 at the Slaski stadium will not take place due to formal and legal reasons.”

Reportedly, the cancellation didn’t come as much of a surprise.

On Thursday, Polish Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska made it clear she opposed Kanye West entering the country. “In a country scarred by the history of the Holocaust, we cannot pretend that this is just entertainment,” she said.

Slaski Stadium—also known as Silesian Stadium—is located in the western city of Chorzow and, following renovations in 2017, has a capacity of over 54,000.

For now, Kanye West won’t be taking the stage in Poland. His comeback had been gaining momentum after major shows in Mexico City and Los Angeles earlier this year, but his history of controversial remarks—especially in regions deeply affected by the Holocaust—has made things more complicated across parts of Europe.

At the moment, the 48-year-old still has several international dates lined up. His next stop is scheduled for May 23 in New Delhi, India, followed by a performance in Istanbul on May 30. In June, he’s set to hit the Netherlands for two shows on the sixth and eighth.

From there, he’s booked for Italy’s Helwatts Festival on July 18, before heading to Madrid, Spain on July 30, and wrapping up with a show in Portugal on August 7. Still, with cancellations and pushback increasing, none of these dates are completely set in stone.
