Kesha got candid about her long-standing friendship with Cassie while revisiting a major milestone in her career during a recent sit-down on Call Her Daddy.
Chatting with host Alex Cooper, Kesha looked back on the first time she headlined a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, sharing that Cassie surprised her with a bouquet to celebrate the moment.
“Cassie Ventura sends me this massive bouquet of these beautiful pink roses before I go out on stage,” Kesha said, getting emotional as she relived it.
She went on to explain that the gesture meant even more because Cassie has been there since day one of her journey.
“Cassie was in the room when I recorded the song ‘Tik Tok,’” Kesha revealed.
Alex Cooper then pointed out the very public struggles both women have faced over the years, calling their experiences “horrific” and “unimaginable,” before asking Kesha what it means to now see them both in a better place.
Kesha responded with a smile, speaking fondly about watching Cassie flourish after recently welcoming another child.
“She just had a baby, and she seems to be doing so well,” Kesha said. “And I’m so happy for her. It feels so good to witness that.”
The pop star went on to describe her Madison Square Garden show as one of the most unforgettable moments of her life, made even more special by having her family there and receiving love from people who have supported her since before fame.
“It was one of the most special nights of my life,” she shared.
The conversation also follows Kesha’s public show of support for Cassie after the 2025 verdict tied to Sean Combs. Over the years, both women have opened up about alleged abuse involving powerful figures within the music industry.
Kesha previously filed a lawsuit against producer Dr. Luke in 2014, accusing him of enduring years of sexual, physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. Meanwhile, Cassie drew widespread attention after footage emerged showing her being assaulted by Diddy inside a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
