DDG and Nick Cannon Trade Parenting Jabs During “Wild ’N Out” Rap Battle

DDG took shots at Nick Cannon’s large family during their Wild ’N Out rap battle, while Cannon fired back by referencing DDG’s past custody situation with Halle Bailey.

DDG recently went live so fans could catch the moment from Saturday (May 9), and it didn’t take long for things to get heated, with both trading personal jabs about relationships, parenting, and their partners.

As spotted by Livebitez on Instagram, the tone shifted when DDG delivered a harsh line: “Nick doing this show just to pay child support / But really, you should wild and abort.” The bar appeared to reference Cannon’s multiple children with different women, and DDG (also known as PontiacMade) reportedly pulled inspiration for some of his lines from ChatGPT.

Cannon didn’t hold back in his response either, clapping back with: “Talk about my kids, yeah, that’s fine / But at least my baby mama let me see mine.” The line pointed to DDG’s previous custody issues involving his son with Halle Bailey, which were resolved back in October after both parties dropped restraining orders and reached an agreement.

DDG closed things out with even more pointed bars: “You like 60 plus, and still not married / We don’t know s**t about you but Mariah Carey / I can see my kid, but you can’t see yours / You got like 20 kids / All your baby mamas is whores.”

“Not all of them,” Cannon replied, shutting things down as the battle came to an end.

But as is often the case with Wild ’N Out, it doesn’t look like things are actually that serious. DDG later made it clear that none of the jabs were meant to be taken personally.

Speaking on stream, he walked back some of his harsher lines toward Nick Cannon.

“Nick, I don’t think you should wild and abort,” he said, as caught by DDGVerse on Twitter. “ChatGPT told me to say that s**t, bro. And I don’t think none of your baby mamas is whores. I don’t even know your baby mamas, I only know Mariah Carey. That’s all I could think of. I was a little mad when he said the line, so I had to say something mean. But I didn’t mean it. I can’t say nothing back on that bar. When n***as say s**t like that, it’s nothing that I can say back besides, ‘I do see my son.’ What I’ma say?”

Nick Cannon has touched on DDG’s dating past before, and with DDG already having history on Wild ’N Out, this moment likely isn’t anything deeper—just another playful exchange that’s already blown over.
