Sentencing Delayed For Convicted Accomplice In Foolio Murder Case Amid Push For New Trial

Alicia Andrews, who was previously convicted of manslaughter in the murder case involving Foolio, is now pushing for a retrial.

Back in October 2025, Andrews was found guilty of manslaughter connected to the rapper’s killing. Foolio was shot and killed during a birthday celebration in Jacksonville in 2024, a case that eventually resulted in five arrests.

Last week, Sean Gathright, Rashad Murphy, Davion Murphy, and Isaiah Chance were all convicted of murder and are now facing life sentences. Andrews, meanwhile, is facing up to 15 years in prison, though her sentencing has continued to face delays.

Her sentencing was originally expected to take place back in January. However, her attorneys have been aggressively pursuing a retrial, arguing that Judge Michelle Sisco was allegedly biased throughout the proceedings. According to Andrews’ legal team, Sisco “made multiple consequential rulings that shaped the outcome” of the case.

Judge Sisco was eventually removed from the case in January. Those accusations were also revisited during a May 11 court hearing, where Andrews’ attorneys once again argued for a new trial.

Alicia Andrews is scheduled to return to court on May 22, where proceedings in the case will continue. At that hearing, the court is expected to determine whether Andrews will officially receive a retrial in her manslaughter case connected to Foolio’s murder.

Authorities previously accused Andrews and Isaiah Chance of allegedly tracking Foolio’s movements and sharing his location before the deadly shooting. Prosecutors claim the rapper was later ambushed outside a hotel, ultimately leading to his death.

Although several convictions have already been handed down, the case is still ongoing. Sentencing has not yet taken place, and the court must first decide whether Andrews’ request for a retrial will move forward before the matter can fully wrap up.

As the situation continues to develop, more updates are expected in the coming weeks.
