1900Rugrat Claims Drake Used The “Little Birdie” Beat On “ICEMAN”

1900Rugrat recently went online to share alleged DMs with Drake while accusing the Toronto superstar of using one of his unreleased beats for “Little Birdie” from ICEMAN.

The Florida rapper, who has quickly become one of the state’s hottest rising acts, claimed Drake took inspiration from the beat used on “Intro” from his 2025 debut project Porch 2 The Pent.

In a video posted to social media, Rugrat detailed his allegations.

“Drake, you got me f***ed up, bruh,” he said. “So when I made the intro to my first album, about a year and a half ago, Drake was hitting me up around the time and wanted to hear music, or Drake’s producer.”

According to Rugrat, he sent over 10 songs that were all meant for his album because he was worried about people taking his work.

“The one they took a liking to was the intro,” he explained. “The intro still dropped. I said, ‘No, you can’t have this song.’ He wanted me on his album still. He said, ‘I’ma send you a verse through.’ Never sent a verse.”

Rugrat said he initially brushed it off until he listened to ICEMAN and noticed similarities between “Little Birdie” and his own production.

“Until I just went and listened to ICEMAN and I listened to ‘Little Birdie’ and then I went back and listened to the intro of my first album,” he continued. “Twin, that’s the only beat I’ve ever produced. Don’t rip my s**t and re-pitch it like that, fam. That’s fried out and f***ed up, twin.”

“DANG ICEMAN,” 1900Rugrat wrote in the caption of his TikTok post on Sunday (May 17). “how u gon ask me over n over for a song then rip it almost 2 years later.” He also uploaded alleged Instagram DMs with Drake to IG, adding: “I ain’t here to lie n if im wrong im wrong everything just fishy.”

In the alleged messages dated February 25, 2025, Drake reportedly told the Florida rapper he was excited for his upcoming project, hinted at possibly wanting a track for the album, and mentioned the idea of working together in the future. Rugrat allegedly replied appreciatively, although he made it clear he doesn’t recycle lyrics. Since Drake had previously shown support to his music, the accusations caught both Rugrat and fans off guard.

Naturally, social media users are split on the situation and continue debating whether the claims hold weight. Some fans understand where 1900Rugrat is coming from, while others believe the “2 Hard 4 The Radio” artist didn’t do anything wrong. Much of the discussion centers around the similarities between the sampled melody used on “Intro” and “Little Birdie.”

With Drake already facing criticism following the release of his trilogy, fans are now waiting to see whether he or anyone from OVO addresses the accusations. While this isn’t the first time Drake has dealt with claims of borrowing ideas, nothing has been officially proven.
