Miley Cyrus is entering a new musical chapter with a brand-new album.
The Grammy-winning singer has announced that her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, will be released Sept. 18 through Atlantic Records. Fans can already pre-order and pre-save the project, although Cyrus has not yet revealed the tracklist or announced any featured artists.
Alongside the album announcement, Cyrus also confirmed her return to the stage with two headlining performances at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, scheduled for Oct. 16 and Oct. 18.
The artist presale will begin Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by the general ticket sale on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. PT through Ticketmaster.
Another detail that caught attention is Cyrus seemingly dropping her surname from her professional name. Moving forward, she appears to be going simply by “Miley.”
Bass Persuades follows a major awards streak for the singer. Her hit “Flowers” earned Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 2024 Grammys, while her collaboration with Beyoncé, “II Most Wanted,” took home Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2025.
More recently, Cyrus paid tribute to her godmother, Dolly Parton, with an emotional eulogy following the country icon’s death.
“The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private, and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts,” Cyrus wrote. “What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis.”
“I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family, and friends who will miss her deeply,” Cyrus concluded. “We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things.”
