Lil Durk Could Be Facing Additional Charges As Prosecutors Reportedly Push To Expand Case Before Trial

Lil Durk could reportedly be hit with additional charges ahead of his upcoming murder-for-hire trial, which is currently scheduled to begin in August.

According to AllHipHop, co-defendant Deandre Wilson filed a motion on Thursday (May 21) requesting bond before the trial officially kicks off.

The filing revealed that defense attorneys were informed prosecutors plan to review possible supplemental charges by June 3. Among the incidents reportedly being considered are a January 2019 shooting in downtown Atlanta and the January 2022 killing of Stephon Mack in Chicago.

In the 2019 Atlanta case, Durk — born Durk Devontay Banks — was previously charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault before those charges were eventually dropped in 2022. As for the 2022 shooting, previously unsealed documents allegedly linked the Chicago rapper to the incident, although he was never formally charged.

Those cases could now potentially be introduced as direct evidence in the ongoing legal battle involving Durk, who has remained behind bars since his arrest in late 2024. Prosecutors claim the case revolves around the alleged murder-for-hire plot tied to the death of rapper Lul Pab, born Saviay’a Robinson, who was also the cousin of Quando Rondo. Authorities believe the killing was connected to retaliation for the 2020 death of King Von.

Back in March, Durk shared a rare audio message on Instagram where he reflected on his mindset and spoke about developing more “patience.”

“It’s just been sitting on my heart lately to save the generation, bro,” he said. “Save these kids. I’m just tired of being a pawn for the culture. Entertaining and being ignorant.”
