Cardi B Reportedly Takes Legal Action Against Tasha K’s Husband Over Claims He Helped Hide Assets

Cardi B is reportedly continuing her fight to collect the multi-million-dollar defamation judgment awarded to her against Tasha K — and now, the blogger’s husband is allegedly being pulled into the legal drama as well.

The Bronx rapper has already taken several steps in recent months to strengthen her efforts against Tasha K, including pushing for sanctions related to comments about Offset. Now, according to Hypefresh, Cardi has reportedly filed a new lawsuit against Tasha K’s husband, Cheickna Kebe, along with his company, Yelen Entertainment LLC.

The lawsuit, reportedly filed on May 6 in Florida’s Southern District federal court, accuses Kebe and his company of helping hide Tasha K’s assets in an effort to avoid paying the judgment stemming from Cardi’s successful defamation case.

According to the filing, Cardi alleges there were fraudulent transfers and multiple attempts to shield money and assets. The suit also reportedly claims Yelen Entertainment was launched shortly after the 2022 judgment and that operations and revenue were moved from Tasha K’s former company, Kebe Studios, before that business was allegedly shut down.

The filing further claims Yelen Entertainment collected all YouTube-related revenue, which reportedly included around $356K in gross receipts. Cardi also alleges Tasha transferred ownership interest in a home to Cheickna Kebe for just one dollar. Additional allegations reportedly involve possible offshore trusts, although it remains to be seen how the courts will handle those claims.

Cardi is reportedly asking the court to reverse the alleged transfers and recognize Yelen Entertainment as effectively the same entity as Kebe Studios. If approved, that could potentially increase the total amount owed due to added interest and legal fees. However, reports indicate a bankruptcy court would first need to approve the matter before it could proceed to a jury trial.

For those unfamiliar with the ongoing legal battle between Cardi B and Tasha K, the drama dates back to a defamation lawsuit Cardi filed over claims Tasha made online. In 2022, a Georgia court sided with Cardi, resulting in a judgment of nearly $4 million against the blogger, including legal fees and other damages.

Since then, Tasha K has reportedly struggled to pay the massive amount, although she found some relief after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Florida and securing approval for a reduced payment arrangement.

However, this newly reported lawsuit highlights how difficult the collection process can become, especially when allegations surface about hidden assets and financial transfers involving other parties. Now, fans are waiting to see how the latest chapter in this years-long legal saga ultimately plays out.
