Khaby Lame can now officially add video game star to his growing list of accomplishments.
On Monday (May 25), IO Interactive revealed on X that Khaby has joined the cast of the upcoming 007 First Light. The announcement came with a funny clip showing James Bond asking Khaby for directions to the Tranquility Cave while standing right in front of a sign that already points him in the right direction.
Staying true to his signature style, Khaby simply gives his iconic gesture before sending Bond on his way.
The developer also revealed that it “worked closely” with Khaby Lame, including scanning him into the game and teaming up on the design of his outfit.
The announcement arrives just two days before the launch of 007 First Light, with fans who pre-order getting early access a day ahead of release.
According to IO Interactive, “a few users got hold of the disc early,” leading to the first 13 minutes of the game making their way onto YouTube.
007 First Light tells the origin story of the man who eventually becomes James Bond, focusing on a younger version of the iconic spy before he earns his 00 status.
The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X on Wednesday (May 27). A release for the Nintendo Switch 2 is also expected later this year.
